State of Football Today

I am a football fan, BUT, I'm really disappointed by the play of N.F.L. teams this year. I've seen teams that according to the experts should win every game they play, loose allot. I've seen teams that don't supposedly have the talent, win games they shouldn't be able to compete in.

Here is what I think. The so called experts must truly believe the slop they have been telling us for years. You know things like "to play in the N.F.L. you have to be a special kind of athlete". I don't believe it anymore, there are some players who have made it into the league that can't possibly be the best choice for the team, I think the experts start believing press reports and drafting players who aren't as good as they are hyped up to be.

I guess I'm tired of hype. I don't watch pre game shows anymore. I don't watch halftime shows anymore. I don't watch post game shows, and I don't care if I miss a game. I blame this on players who think they are bigger than the game. I blame this on announcers who don't seem to know any more than I do about the game. And I blame it on lack luster play by guys who are just collecting a paycheck. Lets face it some of these guys only have to play a year or two and there set for life, why play as if it mattered?

I guess I'd rather watch College Football where players even if they aren't the best of the best play as if they want to win.
